The Psychiatric Clinic at Norrlands University Hospital is looking for new employees

The clinic is the largest psychiatric clinic in Norrland with just over 400 employees. We have four general psychiatric wards, forensic psychiatric activities, several specialized outpatient units, and treatment centers.

The Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Unit is a cross-clinical outpatient unit aimed at patients aged 18 and older who have an ongoing treatment contact at the clinic. At the unit, physiotherapists and occupational therapists work together. We are a cross-clinical outpatient unit that collaborates with the clinic and other psychiatric clinics.

Job Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist at the Psychiatric Clinic, you work with treatment from a holistic perspective, taking into account medical, somatic, psychological, and social aspects. The physiotherapist's task is, among other things, to demonstrate the connection between movement and health and how movement can contribute to an active and balanced life. You initiate and carry out physiotherapeutic interventions based on mappings and assessments.

The work includes treatment both individually and in groups. The methods used at the clinic are primarily Basal Body Awareness and adapted physical activity.

You work independently with the different teams. The work requires good cooperation, organizational, and initiative skills. As a physiotherapist, you take personal responsibility for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of your work.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physiotherapist.
• Experience working with mental illness/psychiatry is meritorious.
• Education in Basal Body Awareness is meritorious but not a requirement.
• Experience working with changed lifestyle habits is also an advantage.
